    Default Mapping card queston

I have Navionics cards for lakes and inshore waters . I had previously used them in lowrance LMS 500 series units. I now have HD units on my boat. Will these cards work in the HD or the Elite units by Lowrance?

I got the Eagle FishElite 480 last year, then got the navionics card....
only to find out the 480 wouldn't read it because it's (the card) too big.

What really got me was, the 480 specs said it'd accept the navionics card, but I found out later it's only up to 512meg...
the 'new' navionics cards are apparently 1gig.

It's so easy to take the cards out of the units. They should have made the access to the card slots with a security lock.
