Thread: HB 798ci SI HD Waypoint loading from HBPC to SD to Unit

Good Evening everyone. I just recently purchased a new 798 HD unit and I've taking a few recordings and have uploaded the recordings to Humviewer, marked spots on there and exported them to my computer then upload them to HumPC. I then export the waypoints from HumPC directly to my SD card. I then put the card into my unit and for some reason my waypoints are not pulling up on the unit? The recordings are there, just not the waypoints I've created? I've checked the SD card in HumPC and it clearly shows the waypoints are on the card in .gpx format, however I've tried everything to get them to pull up when inserting the SD card into the unit. Anyone know of anything I'm missing? I'm pretty decent computer wise and thought I would be able to figure this out, however I'm out of options at this point. Thank you for your help.

Well, I knew it had to be something easy. After more research I found out you have to insert the SD card into the unit after the unit is already powered up. I was inserting the card first then powering it up. So many things to learn, but so worth it. Great units out there.
