Humviewer waypoints?

How do I get the waypoints that I plotted out from My humviewer to My 798. They are on My SD card but apparently, neither my 798 nor humminbird PC will recognize them. Go to humviewer, plug in the card and they are there on my recording? Do I need to change the name from a .DAT file to something else? Thanks.CF

CF... It's been a while since I've done it... But...

I think under 1 of the items in the top left of the Humviewer screen should be a selection to save the wp's in the .hwr (Humminbird) format...

Then, once the wp's are saved onto your pc in the .hwr format...you should be able to transfer them to the SD card ("drag and drop" or "send to") and insert the SD card into your unit where the unit will recognize them...

Is there a selection in the top left that says "waypoints"...??
If there is... It should be under there...

Cfarmer, were you able to get these loaded? I finally got my wapoints loaded onto my 798 last evening from Humviewer.

Hi Vic, well, I had my points loaded in Humviewer then I exported them to my desktop Pc. I then loaded them in HumPC and exported them to my SD card. The problem I was having was when I put the SD card into the unit and powered it up, it wouldn't load my waypoints. I finally found out you have to input your SD card after the unit is already powered up and then it will prompt you to load the waypoints. I had all my waypoints in the .gpx format.
