    Default HDS GPS help

I just linked a HDS5 to my HDS8 at the console. The problem is that they want to share the GPS position of one unit or the other. So if I mark a waypoint with the HDS5 on the bow. It uses current coordinate from my HDS8 at the console or vice versa if I change the settng. This is making the waypoint off by at least 10ft or so. Anybody running HDS's linked via ehternet? How should they be setup? FYI the temp is the same way it wants to get it from one ducer or the other instead of using their individual ducers. So if one unit is off the other will show blank in the temp field.

Sorry I didn't answer this post. Just now read it. I have set billbobs network up several times. His hds10 gen2 seems to change settings occasionally. If you are using 2 different 2d sonars, uncheck the network sonar blue dot.

I use LCG4000 xternal gps so I don't have ethernet network issues with gps.
