question, hummminbird 998 & the gps & t3 switch

I ran new wire to the battery for my 998 can i power the ts3 switch with the same wires? I have a 3 amp inline fise on the positive lead.

Yes you can but the TS3 switch will draw a very small amount of power the whole time it is connected to the battery this way. I would rather power it through an accessory or other power switch that can be cut off when you are not going to be using your boat for a while.
