Will my Hummingbirds interchange

I have 561 and a 597 ciHD DI Hummingbird fish finders. My question is can I interchange them with the other's mount ? Thanks

Pretty sure all the "500's" use the same mount. Not sure the transducers will interchange.

I should have worded my question differently. I should have asked if the transducers will interchange. I am thinking they will, but the Down Imaging on the 597 won't work. Thanks for the fast response.

and I also believe that's what will happen as there's no DI on the 'ducer for the 561. I have a 597 and a 768 with Q-beam they will fit the same mounts but a lot of things won't work if I do that so I don't bother.

I think I remember Greg saying that trying the DI xducer on any other unit than a DI unit can cause internal circuitry damage to the unit...

I would guess the "dedicated DI" units have completely different motherboards, processors, etc...

I would wait until Greg or Deb posts in (probably Monday)...

It is if you connect the DI unit to another type of transducer that there could be internal damage to the circuitry of the DI unit.

So, no the 561 and 597ci HD DI units are not interchangeable.
