Default Transducer mounting: on trolling motor or other device

I just purchased a hb 798 si and I am apprehensive about putting the transducer on the foot on the trolling motor due to what I have read about interferance. I have looked around for a device to drop it out the front without any issues. What are yalls suggestions on placement/device to use?

I'd put it on the foot. If you have trouble contact HB Greg. HB sent some coils to help with mine, no charge. I have enough trouble not hanging the TM up in the brush, let alone adding more things to the deck and dragging around in the water.

why not mount it on the TM and see if you get any interference, and go from there. you could be one of the lucky ones and not have interference.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
