Humminbird 997 Firmware Update?

I heard there was a 997 firmware update scheduled to be released during April but it isn't on the HB website yet. Anyone heard a firm date on this yet?

I'm pretty sure there is an update in the 6.??? series but ....but...BUT...BUT...

I'm reading a lot of problems with the new update on the other forums....

You might want to do some studying to see if there is actually anything on this new update that is worth the chance of locking your unit up...

I haven't seen any new firmware feature for my 1197 that is worth taking that chance...

I updated my 998 as soon as the 6.180 released. No problems here.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the warning Rickie, I haven't really heard what was going to be on this one anyway. I did see a post from one of the guys on the MS forum indicating that the 997's weren't getting the full update this time but only because of insufficient hard drive space on them.
