Do you mean the "Readout" box has disappeared or the digital reading in the "Readout" box is blank...??

Sounds like the temperature sensor in the transducer may have went out. Take a look at the Accessory Test View and see if it shows the Temperature as connected or not. If it does you should be able to set one of the Select Readouts to show it. If it does not show as connected you can try connecting your 570 unit to another Humminbird transducer to see if it will show a temp or not. This can be done out of the water and it does not have to be another 570 model Humminbird unit. Basically any of the transducers that has a built-in temperature sensor will work for this. If it tests good than the problem is in the temperature sensor of your transducer and the whole transducer will have to be replaced.

    joekiller,
Not sure what you are asking here:
“why wouldn't it show when i changed it to factory xducer?”

Are you using the 570 with the Humminbird transducer or the Minn Kota Universal Sonar transducer?
If the Universal Sonar is this the original US or the newer US2 (plastic or metal connector on the transducer cable)?

Well when I bought the 570 I also bought terrova all from BPS, I hooked it up to terrova first. It showed temp then after prob 30 hrs it diss appeared. Tried to find it to no avail. This past week I installed the xducer that came with 570 and it didnt change anything or reappear is what I'm saying. It was newer us2 with plastic connector I believe. Bought both units in feb. last yr. 80 # -24 volt rova

Its sounding like either your 570 has a problem with its temperature sensor circuitry or that the temperature sensor on both the Terrova’s US2 sonar and the standard Humminbird transducer went out at the same time… Can you test someone else’s Humminbird unit with that same transducer to see if the temperature will show up or not? You could also test your 570 unit on their boat to see if the temperature shows up. This would certainly pinpoint where the root cause of the problem is.
