Minn Kota US2 Sonar

Who is using it and how well do you like it. I have a LMS 520c hooked up to my Minn Kota on the bow and have a 525c at the console. Console unit using transducer off of the transom. Get much better detail on 525 and it's lowrance transducer. Was wondering if I would be better off getting TM mounted transducer for the bow?

I have the Minn Kota us2 sonar on mine but I have the lowrance hds8 up front. I didnt have good results though till I went into my unit and changed it to the correct setting, once I switched over to the us2 transducer. I am not sure if your LMS520C has the sonar set up that allows you to set what transducer you have, but if you can, try that. I think the MINN Kota US2 is ever bit as good as the one that came with my hds8, after I changed that internal setting on my unit. Good luck.
ps. If you do buy another one, I would suggest a true trolling motor transducer, and not the one thats made for the transom.Just my opinion.

What settings did you use on the list. I just got one with the us2 and am not sure what the transducer type is.

well--the 2d will but yes the DI will not work. US2 is 83 and 200khz. your DI is 455 and 800khz.

i have the us2 hooked up to my old eagle and its fine. i also put on my hds7 and love it too.
