I am certainly not and authority, but I don't think you can copy or alter the chip. I have the Computer app for Navionics and I thought I could update the chip with things I added on the PC but you can't alter the chip, at least I couldn't. I had to use a clean SD card and load stuff on it from the PC app and plug the SD card into my DF/GPS and it added the updates.

Nor am I any authority. But with that being said, I had no issues copying the data on my Mac and putting it on a new SD card.

U Cannot make a copy of the Navionics map card. The cards are protected &if you read fine print that came with card it says any attempt to copy this card will cause the card to delete/ & become unreadable. If U got 2units u must buy 2 cards period. The folks at these companies were not born yesterday.........................

If I understand your question correctly, no. Separate nav card for each FF. A card in one FF won't get you the map on the other FF without another card, even with interlink or ethernet.

reread your post, still no. LOL Can't copy the map card. Mine anyhow.
