HDS5 goes to .6 depth and screen goes white

I've got a Lowrance HDS5 that works sometimes and then sometimes it will display a depth of .6 and the rest of the screen is white. The water temperature stays correct. Any ideas what would be causing this? Has anyone else had this problem?

I would call Lowrance.

Check your battery's charge level...

Maybe even try hooking the unit up to a different battery to test...

These newer units do not perform correctly with low voltage...

I would go into your menu screen and click on set the unit back to default mode or try a soft rest.
