Thread: Lowrance Elite5x DSI Problem

Went out yesterday and used my Lowrance Elite5xDSI for only the second time since I purchased it and had it installed last fall, after being on about an hour it suddenly goes off. I tried turning it back on and it comes on only for a second and very dimly at that, then goes off again. I wait about 5 to 10 minutes and try again, this time it come on and stays on for about an 1.5 hours then repeats the same going off againbanghead. I repeat the cycle 3-4 times yesterday, Could there be a short in the wiring or is could the unit possibly be defective? Thanks for all your advise and input.

Check your wiring for dirty or corroded connections. Also make sure you are not using the TM battery for power.
