hb 957 interference
bought a used 997 and 957 recently. everything works great except my 957 gets interference, it reads half the time from around 8 to 15 foot deep, but any deeper or shallower it just reads 1.9 feet. any ideas on this. its hooked up to a us2 transducer

Make sure that the interference is not being caused by the 997 unit or the trolling motor. Try testing the 957 again but without the trolling motor or 997 unit on.
I would try testing the 957 on the 997’s transducer to see if it does the same thing.
That should tell us where the interference is coming from or what is causing the bad depth readings.

i tried it with the 997 off the other day. i will try hooking it up to the back transducer tomorrow. i have the us2 transducer on my terrova. so i hope the trolling motor dont cause it. since its built in. im takin the boat out tomorrow night. i will let u know what i find out. thanks greg
