    Default Best trolling motor

I have an 1860 Grizzly Tracker and would like a new TM. I want to spider rig, troll, pull cranks, and single pole. I have a 70lb foot controlled now and I do not like it. I also have an HB 898. Any suggestions?

What do you not like about your 70lb ...??

    Is it the cable steer...??

I have a MK PowerDrive V2 with CoPilot 70# and it's been good to me. I had the same motor but a 55 that I sold, it was great as well. Both foot controlled. I have had one hand controlled TM and that was enough. NEVER again. I have also had the MK edge, cable driven and it too was a great TM.

    Just my two pennies...

I've got an 1860 F&F. Got a new 80lb Terrova with Ipilot last year. It is great for all forms of fishing mentioned as it has both the hand control and foot pedal.

I have a PD V2 with iPilot. There are times that I would like to have a foot control.

the Terrova with IP allows you to use either the foot control or remote, but is electric steer, I don't know what the PD is.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Try to hitch a ride with a Terrova/iPilot owner & see it in action. Counting the cost of batteries, this will be a significant investment, but after you've seen what SpotLock offers a spider-rigger and how AutoPilot, Track Record/Playback, and Cruise Control help a troller, you will be sold!

For me the only TM I will ever have is a Minn Kota.

It is a MK edge. My old TM had the foot switch on the right side of pedal and this one is on left, seems like I have to push a lot farther down for it to work. Boat is new to me and is not as comfortable as my old small boat, but I am working on it. I want to go along with someone who has an I pilot before I buy one.
