I have the riptide PD-V2 with autopilot and co-pilot and it does fine for me. Most folks go for the I-Pilot and all but 2 have loved them, and those two didn't like the response time compared to a cable steer. The US-2 is an option I should have gone with. I fish with a rod in each hand some and like having the foot pedal option.

Terrova with us2 and iPilot comes with both the remote control and a foot pedal. I just posted a review of mine in this section. Check it out.

Buy the Terrova. Has both foot and remote control. Has all the options available. Get the most power and longest shaft. You can always adjust the shaft up, so more of it is sticking up, but you can't go deeper if it's too short. I bought one two years ago and love it.

If it could cook crappie I'd move to a state where I could marry my I-pilot M-K TM (porbably get away with it in California yeah?). Go to the M-K webiste and review what each motor offers but whichever model you choose be sure to get the I-pilot with US2. It's great having that FF in the front of the boat but be sure also you have a FF that's compatable, they list them on the website. Good luck, hope you enjoy it, exciting stuff (a new boat).

US2 should work for any sonar that isn't down or side imaging. Just get the corresponding adaptor cables.
