I expect you already checked but my first thought would be a blown fuse, maybe when you cut the wires from the Lowrance.

Need some help with an issue I am having with the install of my HB 788 on the bow of my Tracker PT 175.
I previously had a Lowrance 67c on the bow, prior to purchasing the HB 788. I removed the front floor panel on the boat to see how the electrical power connection for the Lowrance 67c was configured. The picture below shows how the power connection was made for the Lowrance unit (please note that I had already cut the power lines for the Lowrance before taking this picture).
As you can see it appears to be a very simple connection.
I attached the power cords for the HB 788 to the connection shown above, but when I attempted to power the unit up nothing happened. For some reason I am not getting any power to the HB 788 unit. This power connection worked fine with the Lowrance 67c unit.
I should also point out that I was able to power the new HB 788 unit up at my console where my HB 798 is lcoated.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong with my install of my HB 788.

No, I did not think of that. I did not even disconnect the wires from the battery while I was attempting to do my install banghead!
You just saved me about $150 because I dropped the boat off at the Tracker Service Center earlier. Needless to say I will be speeding over to get it.
Always check here first, there is some very intelligent people that hang on here

Nice. Not always a good idea to cut wire bundles when they're hot. One at a time, like disarming a bomb![]()
