Couple of Questions (foot control for TM, and Depthfinder issue)
So I finally got on the water for the first time last Thursday. Caught some fish and what not, but I have some lingering questions. I've got a small 2 man bass boat that I load in the back of my truck. Both when I fish by myself as well as will someone I'd KILL to have foot controls for my TM to be able to actually fish instead of constantly steering. Do I have any options of wiring in a foot control? It's a Endura Minkota. Bass pro just brought up a few foot controls but not for my trolling motor model. However a 'Bigfoot' switch did come up.. which looks like it might be my only option?
Also, regarding my depth finder. I've got a cheapie eagle fish finder, and when I locate brush piles I'm curious as to if the depth is reading TO the top of the pile, or completely through the pile? This may be a retarded question... For example if I am over a brush pile and it shows 14ft. Is that 14ft to the TOP of the brush pile, or to the bottom?

You won't be able to convert your current motor, although Bigfoot switch is handy in an application like yours.
Normally the finder displays depth to bottom, but a really large brush pile can fool it. Look at the numbers along the side to see the depths for objects on the display.

The bigfoot description doesn't say that it steers, just forward and reverse? Is it worth it in your opinion?
Also, my depth finder doesn't have numbers along the side.. hence the word 'cheapie' :P.
