    Default HB 788ci HD DI

Have a question just installed the new HB. When you turn on the power all I get is loading message across screen? Am I suppose to have the Navionics installed before it works. I didn't think so cause it has the Contour XD pre installed. Or did I miss something on installing process?

Do you have a fully charged battery...??

These units will not power up if there is not enough voltage sensed by the unit...

Got it going. I have one almost like it but isn't GPS. Just changed out transducer. Been up since 4 trying to figurre it out. After it wouldn't boot up put in cd didn't tell me anything. So got out all the paper stuff that came with it. And there it was Quick start guide. I need a SD card to download stuff to HB. Got it !!!

Are you saying that the unit is working correctly now?
An SD card should have nothing to do with the unit starting up and showing “Loading…” all of the time.

I’m with Rickie on this: either the unit is not getting the power that it needs from the battery or there is something wrong with the unit itself. Is you unit wired directly to the battery or is it wired to a fuse panel?

When the message comes up just hit the "exit" button and it will go away. I get the same thing, I've never read it. I just figured it was some legal statement or something. I have the exact same unit you have.
