Default SI Pics 798ci Si HD

Here are a couple pics taken with my HB. Thought you guys would like a peep. Images aren't as good as my first trip out but the wind was blowing us all over the place and wasn't able to play with all the buttons. I'm sold on this unit.

Thanks for the pic can't wait to get mine installed so I can go play with it.I was surprised when I opened the box to take a look the manuel seems to be very informative much better than I got with the( Elite DSI it's rather useless).

I also enjoyed watching the dvd video and Hummingbird also gives a screen cover for the unit.

Thanks guys. I know the pics aren't that great but my main reason for being on the water was to get my father in law out of the house. My mother in law is in the advanced stages of alzheimer's and it has been difficult for the family. Had my speed set at 4 but a lot of my pics were taken at a slower speed. That's why some of my si images look long. After getting home I noticed my images were dark and need to adjust my contrast as well. My transducer is located on the left side of boat. It seemed that when I went against the wind I was getting disturbance on the right side of image. Adjusting motor up and speed back a little fixed that problem the first time we tested it out. Like I said before I had better results the first time we went out and I know the unit is capable of much more than what I have shared here. The unit is very easy to operate and adjust from my limited time with it. A lot of that is due to others, like yourselves that have posted your experiences.

    I didn't realize the 798's 3way split screen was SI on bottom/2d & DI on top....interesting...

I have found the three way split screen to be of great use. Like us all, I am a used to looking at a traditional 2d sonar screen. The 2D helps me translate what i'm seeing, or rather, some of what I'm seeing in Di.

Crappieseeker....We fished that area you see in the above image for a little while but the wind was 15-20 mph and it made it difficult to really do anything in that area other than take pics.
