Trolling motor adapter for 597ci

Are the trolling motor adapters universal for Humminbird transducers are are there specific models for each unit?

I looking at this one....Humminbird 7400871 AD XTM 9 Trolling Motor Adapter but its says fits XNT 9 20, XNT 9 20 T, XNT 9 QB 90 T, XNT 9 QB 90, XNT 9 SI 180 T type transducers and I cannot find any info on what type the 597ci has and since its enroute to me I cannot check the manual.

Don't worry....this adapter fits almost every transducer Humminbird makes, including all of the 500 series, and it actually fits nearly every other Humminbird transducer as well. Your 597 will have one of the transducers you listed depending on whether it has DI, or SI, or neither.

Vic is right: whether this is a 597ci, 597ci HD or 597ci HD DI model; the AD-XTM-9 trolling motor adapter will work with any of those transducers.
As an alternate to this you could always call the Humminbird Customer Resource folks and see if they will swap out your new and unused transom transducer for a trolling motor one. 1-800-633-1468
