Default Question on Humminbird DI for trolling motor

I am wanting to buy a DI for the front of my boat. I have read in the reviews that people are having trouble with the units in shallow water. Does anyone have an opinion or experience with these problems? Also what is the difference between the DI and the unit that is HD DI, is it worth the extra money?

The shallow water problem was supposed to have been addressed in the latest software upgrade...

The "HD" is nothing more than a marketing moniker...

The pixel count in the HB units did not change from previous models...

The only unit that the "HD" moniker means something is in the 798ci HD SI vs the 798ci SI...

The "HD" in the 798ci HD SI gives us indication that it is a 2011 model with Ethernet capability...

Price differences in HB units will be tied to features offered and nothing to do with the "HD" moniker...

I have a 1 year old HB596c HD DI unit for sale if you're interested. Never had any depth issues with it.
