Default Can't get HDS8 Gen 1 to display temp from US/2 equipped Terrova

Got a single HDS8 Gen 1 hooked to my Terrova US/2 and I know it's capable to sending temp to my unit, but I can't seem to locate the menu display command to display it, or I've somehow got it disabled. I can find a menu that says temp on the display, but all I get is three dashes "- - -" that displays in the corner.

    Any ideas? Driving me nuts.

Think I found my own answer, and I'll let ya'll know if this works but I think I know what my issue is. Betting I have not told the HDS8 what kind of transducer is attached. Manual says to go to menus, select sonar menu, go to installation menu and choose the type there. Looks like a long list of options, but the manual does not list them all. I'm assuming US/2 will be an option.

Go into the network menu under setup and select auto configure. It should find the temp then.

FYI, a combo of cane pole with a little caftan jujitsu thrown in whipped my problem. I set the transducer to unknown then went to auto configure and it worked like a charm

    Catfan is smart.

Cane Pole is smert. Which is smart with just a tad bit of alleck thrown in for good measure.

Thanks fellas. Bad needed it working this past weekend.

Save your current setting to the sd card. If things get hosed (by your or some rooster), then you can always import your personal settings.
