    Default Navionics Platenium

Does anyone use Navionics Platenium? Is it worth the price difference?

I didn't feel that the "3d underwater view" and the "color snapshot of marinas" I never go to ... were worth the extra $$...

I had also heard that the "platinum" slows down the unit processing power...

I went with the "Premium...it fills my needs fine...

I have Premium and Platinum, the Platinum has more contour lines. Search around and you can find a deal.

The screen shots in my post above are of the same area of KY Lake and same zoom level. The thick black line you see on the right image are contour lines. If you zoom in there is a lot more detail in the map in the image on the right compared to the left.

Your platinum images looks the same as my Droid App.

Just curious, are those cards from the same year?

I don't have an East map, but it almost looks like your premium is not HD. What are those contours?

Navionics does some weird things, I have a 10 South and it doesn't show Decatur flats like the earlier years. So my buddies that bought the map chip a year or two earlier have more detail than I do in those areas.

According to this website, the mobile app is the same as their Premium map.
