Transducer Shield & Saver
I fish a lot of thick trees and brush where my trolling motor is frequently boucing off limbs or logs or grinding its way through limbs. I'm getting my first depth finder and am going to mount it on my trolling motor. Humminbird Greg mentioned that this would attach the transducer on my trolling motor as well as the Humminbird kit. I looked up its website, and I am sure it would give much more protection to the transducer but Lordy, its expensive. Have any of you used this and have any thoughts as to whether it's worth the expense?

Blairarnold, I have one on my trolling motor.Works great. I had brohen off the neck of my transducer. This was considerabaly cheaper than a new transducer. You also don't have to worry about ever again damaging a transducer. Good luck, hope this helps....

I have one on my little 14' river boat that is constantly banging into the trees. I've never had any problems out of it since I put it on last spring. I have bass fished with the company's founder and he is a pretty genuine guy that found a spot in the market for one of his ideas.

Check out the wee vee, it's about the same price. My son & I both use one and have had good results. If it saves one transducer (and more than likely it will) it will pay for itself a couple of times over.

I used one for my HDS 7 on my trolling motor. I have my sonar puck and my structure scan transducer all tucked in the bracket and protected. Very nice mount system. Very well made with good installation hardware. Well worth the cost
