    Default fuse for depth finder?


    should i run an inline fuse to my hb 997? if so. what amp?

    Don't skimp, always fuse , it can prevent boat FIRES

    Default Fuse near battery

    And place the fuse as close to the battery as you can. Having one up near the sonar unit doesn’t help when you end up shorting the power wires out between it and the battery… just take my word on that. :o

    and im getting interlink. so what ga wire do i need for that. and wat ga wire for connecting the units to the batteries

    Interlink is powered via the bus connection, so no need for power. 18awg should be sufficient to power the unit.

    I wish I had found this before I bought the fuse block in my boat. It has terminals for the grounds also.
