So I can't hook power up to battery straight off cable on unit? I like plug and play!!!!
Yes you can. That picture of garmin was just an example. Depending on the power cable to your head unit, you may have a power cable spare just for powering the network. Just be sure to fuse it. This arrangement of power is shown in the Lowrance nmea2000 pdf.
I am not familiar with the 520 unit. I just know how the network works. Prtobably best to fuse the network seperate.
So the power to the unit is not transfered to the network? I'm gonna have to have a 48 quart cooler for parts etc...LOL
Right. I believe the older units transferred power, but LOW had troubles with it, so, like good little boys, they fixed their screw up. Now we run an extra power cable.Quote:
