    Default Lowrance GPS specs.

Spec says true 5hz refresh for SOG. Knowing this and a relative direction, then you can get prettty close to the gold mine in the water withouut a donut and with some good guessing programming. Repeat.

Doesn't that package come with the required network starter kit? Thinking I'll order one.

    Thanks Tom...

    That reiterates my point...

My $3000 HB "donut" tastes like lazy software programmers...

Rickie, it's got to be well over a year now and you still harbor these regrets for buying an H/B and continue with the donut comments. Most folks would have to let it go after a period of time. When something bothers me, I try to let it go or move away from the problem. We were into this debate before, and you had the H/B donut thread as a sticky. I pushed it and got a reprimand. Rather than open crappie.com each day and look at the H/B donut sticky, I stopped posting and stayed away from the site. When the sticky went away and I thought the issue had run it's course, I thought it safe to come back. I'd like to stay, but if I continue to see the woe is me over the donut, that's not something I want to deal with again. Why not try letting the donut issue go for awhile. It worked for me. Who knows, maybe if you don't worry over it, H/b will come up with a fix.

Once I get the starter kit installed, I might get the fuel flow sensor, and the yamaha sensor, if it'll work with my 150vmax.
So many possibilities with the HDS networking.

    Your right again Shellback....or maybe.....

Maybe, also, if people would quit posting complaints about the readouts on the smaller SI units being way too big...maybe HB will fix that too.....oh wait...they did fix that...in the latest update...took HB ...how many years...?? ....and how many complaints....??

It took a lot of complaints from loyal customers who just wanted their HB units to be better...

I'm sure HB would have changed those big readouts if people would have just shut up and quit harping about it......yeah right...

Rickie, I support you, and not because I own Lowrance, it's because of the Donut that I now own Lowrance. I'm happy with the decision, and you should be able to be happy also. If you follow the rules of the site, you can speak your mind. Adults can ignore comments they don't like, or read a different thread.

Trying to tell a grown man what to do.
