Default variable speed trolling motors ?

After reading alot of the threads on interferance,is it true to say that most interfearance is caused by variable speed motors? I'am about to buy a hdi for the front of the boat and don't really need this kind of a hassle cutting into my fishing time..............Granite.

Yes. The variable speed control pulses the power to the motor rapidly, which creates a lot of electrical noise.

Thank you CatFan, may have to rethink what i want to do. I don't troll or pull cranks, 90% of my fishing is vertical jigging brush or ledges and drains, thought that down imaging might be the way to go.............Granite
