    hello all.... i make a quick search but cant seem to locate the answer to this question.

    what kind of sonar does the terrova have on it? i know it's a us2 but cant figure out if its a dual beam or what.

    well crap......no sooner did i post this than i found out.

    here's the info in case someone had the same question

    What frequencies does Universal Sonar 2 operate at?
    Universal Sonar 2 is a dual beam system operating at 202 kHz and 83 kHz frequency.

    Displays that are compatible with US2 will operate at either or both of these frequencies.


    Unlike Universal Sonar, Universal Sonar 2 is not compatible with 192 kHz displays.

    If side scan's on your list, don't plan on US2 handling that either. My Terrova's US2 is excess baggage. The transducer for my 1197 is mounted under the motor just like we've done in the past.
