    Default options on mounting 1197c

I am going to be picking up the boat I am buying today, 2009 nitro x5, and want to mount my 1197c at the console. Any ideas? Any pictures to show me how you mounted your depthfinder at the console?

How about we just mount it on mine first...then if you still think it's what you want, you can get another one!

I've seen a couple mounted. RAM will give you tons of versatility.

I will have to think about that filletfetish. I think my option is that ram mount, can you add that bracket for the gps puck to that mount so I dont have to drill any more holes than I have to? Thanks for the info guys.

I was going to do the same thing but if you do there is a chance that the head unit will block signal depending on the angle you are to the satellite and th surrounding terrain.

Little Skeeter, thanks for the info, where did you end up mounting the gps puck on your console?

It is directly over my transom transducer to ensure gps points are as correct as possible when looking at sonar.

Perfect. Anywhere else will yield defective waypoints.
