Hey guys How in the heck do ya stop or quiet a trolling motor that creaks when you step on the go button. It's a foot operated cable type tm. It's creakin from where the tm lies in it's cradle.....if ya are aimed to one side..left/right it is worse than goin forward or backards because of the tweaking on the mount. I have lubed all that area up with vaseline in the past and that didn't really seem to help. I am convinced it scares off fish that are not far under the boat. At least thats why I think I don't catch any...lol Any thoughts?
