If you fish underwater brush I would mount it on the TM.

The hull won't work?? Wouldn't that be the best place since the tm moves

A hull mount on the transom will work, but where do you fish from, the front or back? Is the TM a foot control on the front or hand steer on the transom? you'll probably want both the TM and FF close together in most cases but it depends on your method of fishing.

Mount it on the bottom of the trolling motor. They make kits for doing this and also there is a sticky at the top of this board to show you how to route the wiring. This is a very common solution and the movement of the TM will not affect the readings.

mounting the xducer on the front to the hull would probably result in xducer damage when loading or unloading the boat from the trailer. Mount it to the TM, easy to do, just watch where you run the wire to avoid pinching it when deploying or stowing the TM, and leave enought slack so the wire will not get damaged while using the TM.
