Default How do you deal with SI on the TM restrictions?

I'm almost ready to get another 898 and put it on the trolling motor and link it with my console unit. But I sometimes wonder how effective it will be there. Sometimes I troll crankbaits and it's then that I maintain a steady speed and direction. But most of the time I like to throw jigs and that means the boat may be twisting in the wind while I cast or I'm constantly on and off the pedal trying to keep my wife in good casting position as well as myself, so the boat is shifting and the speed is up and down..just all kinds of variables. So I am hoping you guys who already have SI on the front can give some insight on how you use it. Will it be a waste of my money the way I fish? I have read on here from some folks that they feel SI on the front is a huge help but have not read much about how you use it effectively while fishing from the front and deal with the requirements needed for a good SI picture. I currently have a DI/sonar unit on the front and SI on the console. I'd like to put SI on the front too but don't want to spend that kind of money if it's almost useless 75% of the time. Lowrance and HB owners please give your experience and opinions and thank you in advance for your advice.
