Will an LMS 522c transducer hook up to an HDS 5x unit?

Also, will the gps on a unit still run if the transducer is not hooked up? I have an HDS 5x unit that I like and the boat I bought has an LMS 522c. I want to use the LMS for navigation/gps and the HDS 5x for sonar.

My transducer decided to quit, another one on order. GPS still works fine. If the LMS 522 has a grey connector on it, hook it up. Should work fine except won't display temperature. The correct transducer for the HDS units has a blue connector.

On the 83/ 200 they are the same HST-WSBL. I have the same units. and yes the GPS will work without transducer

Both connectors are blue on my LMS and the HDS units.
