Humminbird 570DI

I am thinking about getting either a Humminbird 570 or a 570DI for my boat. I fish mostly shallow lakes, but do occasionally fish in deeper water ( 30 feet ). Has anyone used either of these and what did you think about them..

Both the 570 (2d) and the 570 DI (2d/DI) would be good for the depths that you mention...

Some find 2d sufficient.. Some like this new DI technology... Some like both...

I would recommend saving just a little more and investing in a unit that has GPS Chartplotting built in ...
Being able to save waypoints right on the sonar unit is very handy...

The 581i combo is not that much higher....it is 2d with GPS...

for a hundred bucks more than the 570di you can get a 587 ci di which includes a color hd combo gps, 2d and down imaging. a lot of bang for the buck with that model.

Universalmania has the 570 for $176 and the 570DI for $264. Good prices on both. I bought my 898c SI Combo and 596HD DI there and am very happy. I'm going to buy another 898 from there in a couple weeks. I can vouch for the service and super fast shipping they provided.
