The best is marine grade. If you take a piece apart you will find fine, coated (silver looking) wire.

Bill is right. The finer the strand of the wire, the more flexible the cable, but the finer the strand the larger the physical size of the cable.. A solid conductor wire of the same cma is physically smaller than the same cma stranded wire.
I was really surprised when I discovered the Ethernet cable for Lowrance HDS was solid conductor wire. It is actually just 6 conductor utp cat5 type wire. If you remove your equipment a lot, this type cable usually will break wires at the molded connector. Ask billbob.

glad you got er the way you want wilbur, I to have just a single battery for my Lowrance..
I keep 1 series 29 bat for my electronics 1 for my motor and 2 for the tm. Since I made these changes I have not had any issues with power.
