    Default 788 di ?

In the 2d sonar menu there is an option for 200 and 455 setting. When I choose 455 my 2d screne goes blank. Anyone know what this setting does? I dont have a cd player on my tablet so have not gotten into manual.

    Thanks

What you are selecting is which 2D sonar frequency the unit will use to display the 2D (conventional) sonar. If your unit is not showing anything than you are either in very deep water or the 455kHz in your transducer or unit is not working. My guess is that you were not that deep and something is not working. If you know of someone else that has one of the DI model Humminbird units you can test your unit on their boat and see if it works there or not. This will let you know whether the transducer or the unit is the problem. Whether you can do this test or not; contact the Humminbird Customer Resource folks about getting it fixed 1-800-633-1468.

Download a manual from the Humminbird web site. Go to the 788ci HD DI product page:
788ci HD DI Combo :: Marine Fishfinder :: Humminbird
Select the “SUPPORT” about a third of the way down on the right side of the page and then select “Download Product Manual”.

    Greg,

Thanks. I was in 60 to 100 fow. I will be on the water this weekend and will try it again in shallow water 0 to 20 ft or so. If it still acts up I will call on Monday.

    Kosmo,

I was not in simulator. I was in normal running mode playing around with settings as I was trolling.
