Looks like it sunk until it got wedged in to me. I don't think there will be many crappie on that spot because it is located in striper land. They run in and out of that area a lot. I do have a way point there and I will be checking :rolleyes:.

How old is your TM...??

Sounds like the brushes in the TM may be causing some of this interference...(but I'm confused as to why going into deeper water would make any effects)

Is there any other electronics running at the same time...??...DF, bilge, lights, livewell aerators,..etc

Are you able to try your head unit on someone else's boat to try and determine if its the head unit...??

Are you able to test someone else's head unit on your boat to determine if it's your xducer...??

Are you able to attach the xducer to a pole or similar item and test the xducer as far away from the TM as possible..??

Are you able to run temporary power wires from the head unit to the battery ....maybe down the center of the boat's floor ...??(completely away from any other boat wiring to test if it's the boat's wiring bleeding into the HB power wires...)

I have ruled out a bad head unit and/or transducer because when I don't have the tm on everything works flawlessly in all depths of water. I have placed a battery on the front deck directly to the units but it did not matter.

Feel your pain. I have a Terrova and am also having interference issues with my 788.

Feelay, I, too, am having interference issues between my brand new Terrova I-pilot motor and my 788cdi. I hooked the 788 on the Universal Sonar knowing that I would not have any down-imaging views, but I thought at least I'd have interference-free 2-D sonar....but it's not the case. When I am moving slowly while spiderrigging the interference is terrible. Friday was my first time out with my new 2012 Terrova...and I really like the motor...but can't handle the interference. I think I'm going to simply mount my 788 down-imaging transducer to the Terrova (as demonstrated on another post on this forum) and forget the US2. It's just sad to pay that kind of money for something and not have it work properly.

Not sure , but not to sound stupid have you tried to totally isolate the head unit to a seprate battery just to see if it is bleeding over? Also sometimes you can get a magnetic torroidal interferance issolator for a few bucks from some place like MPJA.com or marlin p jones , and i think even radio shack would have them , just a magnet that would snap over your network wires to the head unit , its a few dollar gamble.....

The blue one above definately sounds like it's a TM issue...

Has HB offered to send you the TM interference kit...??

I would also email Greg ([email protected]) and thoroughly explain what HB has advised for you to try...(Maybe Greg will have some ideas that HB is not able to advise)

Greg's a great guy..he'll go way out of his way to help...(maybe even farther than HB would)

I worked with Humminbird for about 3 months trying various fixes they had to offer. They sent me the TM kit but it really did not help much. They even swapped out my transducer to see if that would help. I know it is a TM issue because my old MG 70 did not cause any problems. Just could not get slow enough on speed 1 to troll.

HB sent me a program and a new power cable.My RF interference was terrible and it cleared right up.If you stay at it,I'd be suprised if you don't get it.
