    Default Humminbird Ethernet

Will ethernet allow split screen viewing on two 858c units to show 2d sonar from both front & rear transducers?

Also, when moving from spot to spot does the front unit need to stay powered on or can it be shut down? If powered up and the trolling motor transducer is not in the water, is there any damage to the unit?

    Shine Runner,
No, you can only show sonar from one source at a time. So you can either show the sonar from the front transducer or the rear transducer.

No you do not have power the unit down. Running the sonar with the transducer out of the water will not harm the unit or transducer.

No you cannot. It doesn’t matter what the model number is – all the Ethernet units work the same as far as what sonar can be viewed.

I thought I read early on that you could. Sorry.
