Default Google Earth Placemark to HB waypoint?

Am I going about this the right way? Ive got tons of structure and submerged Islands placemarked on G. Earth from satelight images when the lake was 8-10 ft low, trying to drag, save, or open them in Humminbird PC so I can upload them on my SD and ultimately on my 385ci. I am so new to this kind of stuff and any help would be appreciated....Also I have around 200 or so Waypoints that I CANNOT loose, im worried Ill mess something up:rolleyes::o

Not sure about how to answer your question but I do have a suggestion for the "can't lose waypoints". Write em down or log em into a spreadsheet. Never a bad idea to have a data backup. Good friend of mine dropped his Garmin a few weeks back, now it won't turn on and he lost a bunch of waypoints...

you need to save your way points first so you dont lose them, always a good ideal............. i dont use humminbird pc but i thought that id help you..........heres how i just did what i think that your wanting to do...................... first download free program.......gps babel....... make a folder on desk top.......... save google earth waypoints as kml files............use babel to convert to dgb files...........put the dgb files in the folder that i created........... opened huninbird pc............clicked on file and opened the folder that has the dgb files................humminbird pc says something on the line of this is not a gpx do you want to convert .to gpx. i clicked yes and it converts then loads the files. i can view and edit the files................... i also tryed to just convert kml to gpx, using babel then loaded in humminbird pc............that didnt work....... i think the dgb works for what you want.......give it a try and let me no how it works

Default GE to HummPC waypoint conversion

I’ve used both the GPS Babel and MN DNR Garmin programs to do this.
I’ve got two pdf files on how to do this but unfortunately I get a message that they are too large of a file to attach for this web site.
Shoot me an e-mail requesting them and I should be able to e-mail them back to you.

    Greg,
If the files are too big for Papermouth's email server (most email servers will reject really big files) you can use yousendit.com
All you need is papermouth's email address. Upload the files to yousendit.com and it sends him a link from which he can download the files.

    bdorman,
    Thanks, I haven’t used yousendit.com yet as I have been using TransferBigFiles.com https://www.transferbigfiles.com/
It has a free version that does not come with a limited trial date.
