    Default Weather sense

For those of you that use the humminbird weathersense module, do you like it? And how has it helped your fishing?

I looked at it but went with the XM weather module instead.

I also run the XM weather module, which is really the only way to get recent weather radar when fishing or boating in areas with limited or no cell reception.

    Kosmo,
You have to make a call to the XM/Sirius folks to get the XM Weather Receiver activated.

    Tom,
I have been on boats that have used the WeatherSense Fishing Barometer. While it did not help us plan when to fish (most of us fish when we can) it did help us understand why the fish were behaving like they were and did help predict some incoming rain. Remember that the WeatherSense can only show the barometric pressure for where you are at and can show past history and make a weather prediction based on the barometric pressure and its recorded history. This is all done without having to pay for a subscription to any company and you don’t have to worry about mounting the module where it can receive a satellite signal. I would have one on my boat (if I had a boat...).
