Default welp, just ordered a terrova 55

from Cabelas this morning, for $550 with $5.00 s/h. Now I gotta find an Ipilot, is ebuyersworld a good place to deal with??? older threads say its ok, but checking for more recent opinions. They have it for ~$340 in stock, so speak up.

Will be a slow delivery for $5 but they had 'em on sale and the almost free shipping made my mind up. Will be a good winter project to get it on the tracker, should be able to control my speeds better with this set up for longlining. If anybody tells the wife, I'll hunt you down !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

i bet it's not as slow shipping as you think. probably normal 7 to 10 days and you will probably get it in 5 or 6.

I boats have the Ipilot for 342 shipped. They are a good site also.
A new I pilot is coming out in January that will have more tracks. 3 currently with I think 6 on the new ones. If you are interested.

aware of the new one coming out, but don't think the update will benefit me, looking more at being able to control/manage my speed and boat in general. 3 tracks would be good for me if I find a good track to begin with.

well, got it installed on the boat yesterday, as expected, had to drill 4 new holes (), but 2 are covered up by the Terrova, I used one of the 2 old mounting holes as a lead in for the power wire to get it somewhat secured (?) and less chance of triping over it or ripping it loose since the MK sits so far forward and it's a totally different layout than the MG I am accustomed to. Will be a whole new experience on deploying/stowing it vs the MG. Now just waiting on the Ipilot to get here and the power connectors I ordered. Can't use it till the weekend anyways, both should be here in time for a test run next weekend.

Anybody got any pics of how you mounted a 'ducer on a Terrova, and dealt with the wire. The mount itself is ok, but trying to figure out how to keep the wire controlled going up the shaft, and with the sliding collar, its' a new one for me.

Look at the pinned threads on the front page. There was a step by step tutorial on how to stow the cable,in the track of the shaft.Good luck, you should enjoy your motor.
