    Have I got a setting wrong? Everytime I disconnect it defaults back to factory settings. Am I missing something? I get it dialed in the way I want it and then disconnect of an evening and gone. Go through it all over again next trip. A real PITA.

    It sounds like something is amiss but I have to say I am not 100% sure. I have that same unit but I don't ever disconnect it from the base. If I get a chance tomorrow evening I will pull mine off the base, reconnect, and see if my settings are retained.

    If you are powering the unit off with the unit’s power button, than it should remember and menu changes. If it is not remembering them, than contact the Humminbird Customer Resource folks at 1-9-800-633-1468 and talk to them about getting your unit fixed.
