    getting new lund boat. may go with hb 1198. i dont know any thing about them other than turn them on. dont know what maps to order. i live in central illinois and fish mark twain and truman lakes. also will do some fishing in arkansas anm miss. where wouldthe best place be to mount it? the tm or stering wheel. has any one got any hb s on a lund boat and how are they working out?

    will order this boat in next 3 days so your help will be appreciated.

    HB units use the Navionics or the Lakemaster maps....

    You will need 2 different Navionics cards for the lakes you mention...Illinois would be on the "East" card and Arkansas and Mississippi lakes would need the "South" card...

    The Lakemaster cards do not cover the lakes you mention...
    LakeMaster Product Lake Lists for the LakeMaster Digital GPS map cards.

    I would suggest you mount the unit at the position you would get the most benefit from it ...

    If you plan on searching mostly with the big motor, mount the unit at the console...

    If you plan on searching mostly with the TM, mount the unit at the bow
