I have the elite5. i like it. i have lakemaps installed and that does not have all lakes in mn in it nor border waters. the only con i have about the elite5 is every once in a while I need to reboot it. i'm not sure if it is my bad or not. but rebooting is no issue and all waypoints remain when reboot.

I have an Elite 5 coming ... and could get it in service within the next week. I'll hollar back once I get it on the boat & use it some. I have no knowledge of a Mark 5X, so I won't be able to compare. Hopefully you will have some more replies to use for comparison, by that time.

Mark-5X has only the 200 kHz transducer and since it's going n the front of my boat I think that's the one I'm going to get.
