Updates for my Humminbirds. HELP

Bear with me. I have a 997 & 798 both are registered with humminbird. They haven't been updated in a year or 2. Both units have 4 new updates listed. If I download the most recent update will all the updates be included? If not do I need to download all 4 updates? For instance on the 997 I have update 1.) 997c si combo (version 5.840) #2 HumminbirdPC (version 4.1.8) #3 son2xtf (version 1.001) and #4 update is son2xtf for Windows Vista(version 1.001) OK do I have to download all of these? Or just the most recent which is the version 5.840 from 8/19/2011 thanks for any help. and sorry such a long post

The way I unerstand is that the latest update will incorporate all past updates as well. I seem to remember Humminbird Greg stating that.

And make sure you reset your unit to factory default BEFORE you use the update or it will cause your unit to mess up.

Like the guys above stated...the most recent will update all the previous updates....

Also...the HBPC update is for the pc program that manages your waypoints, routes, tracks,...if you don't manage your waypoints on the pc, you may not need this.....

Also the son2xtf updates are for converting HB .son files...if you're not going to need converting the files to use in a different program (I think for viewing in SIview) , you may not need this either....

Thanks guys. I got it. Now if I could just figure out this Navionics Platinum card! I cant make the maps look all pretty like the advertisements. I've yet to see the cool underwater view. It be nice to see the creek channels like they show on the underwater view. Think I should have gone with the Premium chip
