Default the "other" option for mounting your transducer and GPS antenna

Some have posted in the recent past about how to mount a SI transducer to the front of the boat without having to mount the transducer to the trolling motor...

This is da 'ducer apparatus™.... from... da 'ducer apparatus - Podunk Ideas

We all need another apparatus (trolling motor bracket) mounted to the Bow to get hung up in. I agree with the Podunk Device!!!!

I think I'm going to buy 10 of those remote boat fishing things and run em. They will get farther from the boat, won't tangle, and I can run em at whatever speed I like without draining my Terrova batteries. Don't know if they can handle a real Butla slab though, but I could use the main engine to run em down like a jug, or I could build a more powerful model with cruise control to haul em in. Might have to tie em to a pole to stay legal for tournaments. Use em like a bobber. Just my vision of another Podunk Idea. Sorry WB for copying your idea, but could be used similar to the Bandit without hooks thing.

Actually, it's not a bad idea so you can run a Side Imaging ducer on the front while fishing instead of strapping it to your TM and fighting to keep it running in a straight line. I could see it being pretty handy if that's what you want to do and it looks to be easily stowed and retracted to avoid timber and what not. Now if you're in heavy timber and single pole fishing, yeah that'd be a problem, but if you're trying to follow a creek or something like that, it'd be the ticket.

Well now that flat beats the heck out of my PVC with connectors that I hang over the front edge of my boat. Course I dont fish off the front of the boat much and I didnt have to drill any holes.

Rickie, i cant seem to figure out why the image would be diffrent using this, than the trolling motor. When i turn to follow a channel or cut, wouldn't the image on the holder do the same? How would it not have the same issue as if it was on the trolling motor? Been using my 1197 on the front since last season and only notice diffrence when BOAT is turning. Just dont see why that holder would make a diffrence. Can you post pics of the two using the same areas? I'd like to see the improvement before i invest in one. If it makes that much of a difference, i'll definetly put one up front. Otherwise it would be a waste of space and money to me.
