    Default Terrova Shaft Length

I'm about to install my new Terrova and I know that it is going to stick out over the edge of the boat when stowed. Also it may be in the way of my rod holders. My question is: After installation can I then cut the shaft to the correct length so that it wont overhang too far and be out of the way of my holders? I know that I may have to contact Minn Kota to make sure it wont void my warranty. If anyone has encountered these same issues let me know. Thanks, Dan

Yes you can. You should take it to an authorized repair center so your warranty won't be affected. Should cost in the 35-50 dollar range.

DON'T CUT IT until you have fished with it for several months at least. When I first got mine I thought I would want to shorten it but glad I didn't. Try it first.

Don't do it. The extra length is nice when trolling in the wind. It is also nice because it gives you something to grab ahold of when pulling the motor back in. If its going to hang out over the side of the boat or interfere with rodholders then reposition it....I put mine just left of center and straight with my boat.
