    Default Hummingbird 570

Anyone have one? How well do you like it for showing fish and bait under the boat?

I just installed one on my trolling motor and liked what I saw. The second day though it quit reading the bottom and now only shows the depth reading sometimes correctly and does not show the bottom at all. I believe my transducer went bad. It did last for about 9 hours though.

    Yadkin,
Call the Humminbird Customer Resource folks at 1-800-633-1468 and speak to them about getting your transducer replaced.

I just called Humminbird (which only took about 4 minutes to get a person) and they said they were sending me a new transducer immediately. They are also going to include a shipping label for the old one. It was a very pleasant experience. You can't get any better than that. If it works when I receive this transducer, I will be very pleased. Anything can experience a problem. I know as I am a merchant also.

I have a 565, which I think is the 570 in a previous life, and like it fine. I want a 570 DI with the switchfire setup. Downimage and regular sonar in the same package for under $300. A sweet setup.
